    This book held my interest from beginning to end. An excellent read, a great tale that moved right along. No words wasted on unnecessary chatter or descriptions that had nothing to do with the tale. The author stayed with the story every step of the way. I am really looking forward to reading more of her books.

    this one turned out to be a pleasure. A small boy is kidnapped by a deranged psychotic, and a newly separated police officer begins the chase to save him. The writing is muscular and mature, with no cloying undertones, and the plot is engaging (although there are several implausible twists which are disappointing). I look forward to reading more in the series.
