La advertencia de Vitalik Buterin que reabrió el debate sobre la seguridad en la blockchain El cofundador de Ethereum, Vitalik Buterin , lanzó una advertencia sobre los límites de la seguridad en las blockchains, al señalar que las garantías criptográficas "se descomponen cuando los usuarios dependen de la confianza fuera de la cadena". Buterin explicó que, incluso ante un ataque del 51%, los validadores no pueden falsificar bloques dentro del protocolo, ya que cada nodo de la red verifica las reglas de manera independiente. Sin embargo, advirtió que esta protección no aplica a los puentes de activos, oráculos o sistemas off-chain, donde los validadores podrían manipular datos sin que la red tenga cómo corregirlos. "El sistema es seguro mientras las verificaciones estén en la cadena. Pero cuando se confía en información o acuerdos externos, la matemática deja paso a la confianza", resumió en su cuenta de X. El comentario reactivó el debate técnico sobre cuánto poder deben tener los validadores dentro de una blockchain. Algunos referentes, como Mudit Gupta (Polygon), coincidieron con la advertencia, mientras otros, como Seun Lanlege (Polkadot), advirtieron que los riesgos van más allá del protocolo e incluyen ataques a la comunicación entre nodos. En esa línea, el desarrollador Robert Sasu (MultiversX) recomendó "mover todo a la cadena, directamente en una capa 1 descentralizada", apuntando a reducir la dependencia de sistemas externos. Cabe recordar que, del 17 al 22 de noviembre, Buenos Aires será sede del DevConnect 2025 , el encuentro anual organizado por la Ethereum Foundation que se celebrará por primera vez en Argentina.
