Lesezeit: 3 Minuten Quelle: Getty Images am 13.11.2025 - 09:40 Uhr, aktualisiert vor 13 Minuten Der britische Ökonom John Maynard Keynes sagte einst: «When the facts change, I change my mind.» Da ist viel Wahres dran, sollte aber nicht unbedingt pauschal für die eigene Anlagestrategie gelten. «Veränderungen an den Märkten, etwa steigende Zinsen, neue Regulierungen oder geopolitische Spannungen können Anpassungen bei der Anlagestrategie erfordern, müssen es aber nicht», sagt Michael Bolliger, Chief Investment Officer Schweiz UBS Global Wealth Management bei UBS. «Denn wer sein Portfolio bei jeder Schlagzeile neu ausrichtet, verursacht grosse Transaktionskosten, möglicherweise aber kaum Profite.» Dem stimmt Scott Voss zu. Er ist Senior Market Strategist in Boston bei Harbourvest und sagt: «Da wir langfristige Investoren sind, haben wir bei einer soliden Anlagestrategie nur wenig Grund, davon abzuweichen. Diese Disziplin ist entscheidend, um emotionale oder reaktionäre Entscheidungen zu vermeiden.» Und noch nie waren Disziplin und Strategie so wichtig wie in der aktuellen Zeit. Partner-Inhalte Ein eigenes Portfolio definieren Parallel geht es um Diversifikation. «Diversifikation ist der effektivste Ansatz zur Risikominimierung», sagt Bolliger. «Durch die Streuung der Investments auf verschiedene Anlageklassen wie Aktien, Anleihen, Immobilien, Rohstoffe, aber auch Regionen und Branchen können die risikoadjustierten erwarteten Gewinne optimiert werden.» Er rät dazu, auch innerhalb von Anlageklassen zu diversifizieren, etwa durch Investition in verschiedene Aktienbranchen oder die Auswahl von Unternehmen unterschiedlicher Grösse (Large Caps, Small Caps). Und Voss ergänzt: «Anleger sollten ausserdem verschiedene Ansätze wie Value, Growth und einkommensorientiert nutzen und vor allem eine ausreichende Anzahl von Positionen wählen, typischerweise zwanzig bis dreissig innerhalb einer Anlageklasse, zur Minderung des idiosynkratischen Risikos.» Besonders wichtig ist weiterhin eine kontinuierliche Überwachung der Anlageperformance – wobei damit nicht zwangsläufig Anpassungen einhergehen müssen. «Wir empfehlen eine regelmässige Überprüfung, typischerweise einmal pro Jahr. Aber auch bei grösseren Marktbewegungen oder wichtigen Ereignissen, zum Beispiel Heirat, Jobwechsel, Erbschaft oder Investitionen sollte die Strategie überprüft und gegebenenfalls angepasst werden», sagt Bolliger. «Auch wenn sich die Risikoneigung ändert oder ein Anlageziel erreicht wurde, ist eine Analyse sinnvoll.» Kennzahlen wie Rendite (Performance im Verhältnis zum investierten Kapital), Volatilität (Schwankungsbreite), Sharpe Ratios (Risikoadjustierte Rendite), Drawdowns (historische Verluste) sowie die Abweichung von Benchmarks oder Referenzindizes spielen in einem modernen Portfolio Management eine wichtige Rolle. Bei Harbourvest zum Beispiel erfolgt die Überprüfung hingegen grundsätzlich quartalsweise. Auch das Private-Equity-Unternehmen setzt auf genannte Branchenbenchmarks und ergänzt diese unter anderem durch die IRR (Internal Rate of Return), das Moic (Multiple on Invested Capital) und die DPI (Distributions to Paid-In). «Als Investoren sowohl in Fonds als auch in Unternehmen agieren wir häufig als aktive Teilnehmer, entweder als Mitglieder von Beiräten der Limited Partner oder als Unternehmensvorstandsmitglieder», erklärt Voss. «Durch sowohl formale Berichterstattung als auch informelles Monitoring der zugrundeliegenden Werte erhalten wir umfassende Einblicke in die absolute und relative Performance des gesamten Portfolios.» Der Anlagehorizont und seine Bedeutung Souveräne Anleger setzen also im Jahr 2026 auf diverse Portfolios und bleiben diszipliniert. Einfacher ist das aber nicht. Und gerade deswegen wird der Anlagehorizont immer entscheidender. Ein langfristiger Anlagehorizont (acht Jahre und mehr) erlaubt es Anlegern, auch volatilere Anlageklassen wie Aktien, Immobilien, oder illiquide Instrumente wie Private Equity Investitionen ins Portfolio aufzunehmen, da Kursschwankungen über die Jahre ausgeglichen werden können. Dazu Bolliger: «Oft wird argumentiert, dass jüngere Sparer einen grösseren Aktienanteil halten sollen, weil sie mehr Zeit haben, Kursrückschläge auszusitzen. Doch das ist nur bedingt richtig: Denn auch ältere Investoren können bei tiefen Liquiditätsbedürfnissen einen langen Anlagehorizont haben, während jüngere Investoren möglicherweise eine grosse Anschaffung planen.» «Die Investitionsdauer beeinflusst auch die Auswahl der Anlageklassen», ergänzt Voss. «Langfristige Investoren können stärker in illiquide Anlagen wie Private Equity, Immobilien und Infrastruktur sowie Aktien investieren.» Kurzfristige Investoren benötigen mehr Liquidität und betonieren typischerweise festverzinsliche Wertpapiere und öffentliche Märkte. Und mittelfristige Investoren balancieren beide Ansätze und achten dabei angemessen auf Liquiditätsbedürfnisse. Doch Scott fügt abschliessend an: «Länderspezifische Überlegungen können die Investitionsdauer übertreffen. Beispielsweise könnten selbst langfristige Investoren Märkte mit hohen geopolitischen Risiken oder Governance-Problemen meiden oder ihre Exponierung reduzieren.» Es bleibt demnach bewegt auf dem Anlagemarkt, doch eines bleibt gleich: Emotionen und unüberlegte Reaktionen bleiben schlechte Berater.
