La OCU destapa las apps bancarias en las que resulta imposible cerrar la cuenta

La Organización de Usuarios y Consumidores revela que miércoles que ha denunciado a cuatro entidades ante la Dirección General de Consumo por poner trabas a sus clientes a la hora de cerrar una cuenta por el mismo canal que lo abrieron, el online. La OCU cree que con esta práctica, las entidades consiguen retener más tiempo al cliente, que acaba obligado a ir a la oficina a hacer esta gestión o simplemente, aguantando la cuenta abierta muchos más tiempo. Según un estudio elaborado por la OCU, los clientes valoran que prácticamente todas las entidades bancarias en España permitan operar a través de canales digitales sin necesidad de acudir a una oficina, llegando incluso a ofrecer cuentas sin requisitos ni comisiones si se utilizan exclusivamente estos medios. Al mismo tiempo, estiman que hayan surgido bancos 100% digitales, algunos accesibles únicamente desde el móvil, lo que ha consolidado a las apps bancarias como herramientas esenciales en nuestro día a día. Sin embargo, la Organización pone de relieve que les ha sorprendido que todavía haya trámites que no están disponibles en todas las apps bancarias Y la más importante es el cierre de la cuenta . Casualmente, la mayoría falla cuando el cliente trata de cerrar una cuenta de la misma forma en que la abrió. Y por ello, la OCU entiende que no hay razones técnicas que lo impidan, solo barreras comerciales que buscan retener al cliente, limitando su derecho a poner fin a un contrato de forma sencilla. Esta operación resulta complicada en la mayoría de las cuentas analizadas por la OCU sin que existan motivos técnicos para ello, "por lo que entendemos que estas limitaciones son comerciales, con el objetivo de evitar la pérdida de clientes". Aunque apuntan directamente a cuatro entidades, por ser las que más trabas ponen. Es el Banco Sabadell y Bankinter, que solo permiten la cancelación por teléfono o en oficina; Openbank, que tan solo deja hacerlo por teléfono, y CaixaBank, que remite al cliente directamente a una sucursal. "En OCU hemos denunciado esta práctica ante la Dirección General de Consumo, por considerarla una limitación injustificada del derecho del consumidor a finalizar un contrato de forma sencilla y por el mismo canal en que lo inició", explican en un comunicado. La Organización asegura que algunos banco tampoco permiten cambiar el PIN de las tarjetas desde la propia aplicación. Solo N26 y Revolut lo permiten; en el resto de los bancos es necesario acudir a un cajero o a una oficina. También denuncian que no hagan sencillo el proceso de modificar los límites de las tarjetas para disposiciones de efectivo en cajeros o de compras en comercios. De hecho, apuntan a que en CaixaBank solo es posible hacerlo en la oficina o a través de un gestor personal. No obstante, el estudio de la OCU - que recoge la opinión de 15.229 socios- destaca que la valoración de las apps bancarias por parte de los usuarios es muy positiva, con una nota media de 71 sobre 100, convirtiéndose en uno de los aspectos mejor puntuados, incluso por encima de la satisfacción global con la entidad, que se queda en 64 puntos. Los clientes del Santander son los más satisfechos con su app, con una nota de casi el 90%, seguido de ING con un 88%, Bankinter y BBVA, ambas con un 83%.
