Nvidia and Microsoft ranked as 2 best tech firms to work for in Israel in 2025 war year

Oct 29, 2025

By Sharon Wrobel Today, 6:54 pm Chipmaker giant Nvidia and software developer Microsoft are the two top tech firms to work for in Israel, with employees seeking a stable workplace supportive of reserve soldiers and their families during the challenging war period, an annual ranking by business analytics firm Dun & Bradstreet Israel released on Wednesday showed. Nvidia Israel, one of the country's largest employers, and Microsoft this year came in first and second place, respectively, both holding their title for the second year in a row. Workplace management platform Monday.com maintained its third place in the ranking from last year. Last year, Nvidia moved up to the number one spot from eighth place in 2023. The chipmaker pushed Microsoft into second place after the latter had held the title for five years in a row. Despite the war that erupted after the October 7, 2023, Hamas invasion, during which many tech employees went on reserve duty for prolonged periods, Nvidia has continued with plans to expand its presence in Israel and hire more employees. In addition, the tech firm alongside its employees raised funds to donate to nonprofit organizations that are supporting Israeli and Gazan civilians affected by the war. Nvidia's operations in Israel are the firm's largest outside of the US. The chipmaker employs over 5,000 workers across seven R&D centers, from Yokne'am in the north through Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Ra'anana in the center of the country to Beersheba in the south. Sign up for the Tech Israel Daily and never miss Israel's top tech stories Sheila Zavaro Weiss, head of D&B's Duns 100 division, said that the 2025 ranking showed the “greatest change and most significant shift” in the past decade in employees' preferences due to the war and challenges experienced by Israeli households and businesses. Whereas before the war there was a strong sole focus on salary and benefits when choosing a workplace, employees now also search for employers who offer a supportive organizational culture in periods of crisis and hardship, according to the Dun & Bradstreet survey. “Employees are redefining what makes a workplace great: companies that support reserve soldiers, provide flexibility in challenging routines, and put values and people at the center alongside innovation and business achievements,” said Zavaro Weiss. “This is the message of this year's ranking – those who managed to combine professional excellence with a supportive, value-driven culture earned employees' trust and their place at the top.” The D&B ranking selected the 50 best high-tech companies to work for in 2025, which together employ over 47,000 employees in Israel. The ranking is based on a survey of tens of thousands of employees in Israeli high-tech companies, examining a range of criteria, including promotion and professional development opportunities, work-life balance, work environment, diversity and inclusion, compensation and benefits, management and direct managers, and organizational culture. War in Gaza erupted in the aftermath of the October 7, 2023, onslaught when thousands of Hamas-led terrorists invaded southern communities in Israel, killing 1,200 people, mainly civilians, and abducting 251. Among the captives was one of Nvidia's employees, electrical engineer Avinatan Or, who was released earlier this month under the ceasefire-hostage deal after being held hostage in Gaza for two years. In fourth place in Dun & Bradstreet's annual ranking came SAP Labs, moving into the top five list from sixth place last year. US cybersecurity firm Palo Alto Networks, founded by American-Israeli entrepreneur Nir Zuk, dropped down one spot from last year to fifth place. Salesforce and Cyberark Software secured the sixth and seventh spot, respectively, in this year's ranking, moving from fifth and tenth in 2024. In July this year, Palo Alto acquired CyberArk in a deal valued at a staggering $25 billion. Silverfort made a first entry ranked eighth, followed by Panaya in ninth place, slipping two spots from last year. Fintech firm Intuit rounded up the top 10 from 13th place last year. US semiconductor Intel, which has been present in Israel since 1974, plunged 11 spots to 29th place in the ranking. The tech firm has been laying off a few hundred employees at its development centers in Haifa, Petah Tikva and Jerusalem as part of a move to cut its global workforce.
