Announced at Fleet Europe Days in Luxembourg, the two developments are intended to address common challenges in fleet management, including fragmented reporting, increasing regulatory complexity, and the transition to electrification. According to Alphabet, Connected Fleet provides “a single, integrated source of truth” for vehicle data through its 360 Fleet Portal and Alphabet ID. The platform brings together information on mileage, diagnostics, driver behaviour, safety, and electrification, replacing the need for multiple reporting tools. The system has been developed in partnership with Geotab, which supplies standardised, near real-time vehicle data from manufacturers. Edward Kulperger, Senior Vice President EMEA at Geotab , said the collaboration “moves beyond fragmented reporting to provide fleet managers with a single, dependable source of truth,” adding that it would “accelerate fleet visibility and enhance safety.” Jesper Lyndberg, CEO of Alphabet International, described the partnership as one that “enhances data integrity and accelerates value for customers across the entire Alphabet ecosystem.” GlobalData Strategic Intelligence US Tariffs are shifting - will you react or anticipate? Don’t let policy changes catch you off guard. Stay proactive with real-time data and expert analysis. By GlobalData Connected Fleet integrates with other Alphabet tools, including Carbon Manager, to support sustainability reporting and charging optimisation. Features such as theft protection, vehicle localisation, and single sign-on are also included. The first markets have already launched, with broader rollout expected over the coming months. Alongside the platform, Alphabet unveiled an update to its AI Assistant, which has handled more than 10,000 data queries since its introduction in 2024. The latest version shifts its function “from reporting to consulting,” drawing on live data from Connected Fleet to highlight risks and suggest operational actions. The AI Assistant can now generate charts, tables, and recommendations that users can save as dashboard widgets, creating a personalised control centre for fleet management. Lyndberg noted that “what used to take hours of analysis can now be achieved in a simple conversation.” Future developments are set to include AI-driven contract modifications and a voice-activated mode. The updated Assistant will be available from October 2025, with its formal debut taking place at the Fleet Europe Summit.
